The Whirlpool EveryDrop EDR4RXD1 Ice & Water Refrigerator Filter 4 features triple filtration technology that is designed to reduce 26 contaminants from pharmaceuticals, lead, and industrial chemicals. The particle and micro filtration layers remove the large and medium size contaminants from the water, while the absorption filtration layer removes the microscopic contaminants. One EDR4RXD1 filter is equivalent to 1,500 water bottles, so it should be replaced every 6 months or 300 gallons.
